Symptoms of a loose motor lock ring include creaking while pedaling with or without electric assist.Vvolt mechanics prefer the Shimano TL-FC32 to check this lockring because its design doesn&apos;t require crank arm removal. You can also use the Park Tool BBT-9, but you&apos;ll need to remove the crank arm with the Park Tool CCP-44 (ISIS-spline) or something equivalent.&#xA0;This reverse-threaded lockring should be very tight. Symptoms of a loose rear cog lock ring will be quite apparent: clicking and popping from the rear end, and the cog falling off the hub.&#xA0;Vvolt mechanics prefer the Hozan lockring wrench to check the lockring torque. This lockring is reverse-threaded and should be tight!
