Vvolt Service Bulletin: Battery Handling Update 10/2023Updated 10 months ago
Stellar Series Battery Handling Update
Vvolt is committed to ensuring you have the latest information on the best practices for handling and using your lithium-ion battery. Recent testing has demonstrated that removing or inserting the battery while it is powered on can send incorrect voltage to the printed circuit board (PCB) in the MPF motor on Centauri, Sirius and Proxima models produced prior to August 2023. This may cause damage to the switch that controls the CAN BUS termination resistor. This damage may render the motor inoperable.
To avoid this rare issue, please ensure that your battery is powered off before removing or installing it in the battery compartment. To power off the battery, please see the following instructions:
Battery Operation
Shut down before removing or installing: long press the power button for 4 seconds. The LED indicator will flash red/green/blue twice to denote the battery is powered off.
Turn on once installed: long press the power button for 4 seconds. The LED indicator will show battery state of charge (blue, green, red, red blinking).
