Belt Tension Adjustment: Alpha IIUpdated a month ago
Pro Tips for Adjusting Your Belt Tension:
- The dropout plates must only be loosened slightly to move forward or backward.
- Adjust each side evenly to ensure the rear wheel remains aligned in the frame.
- If you hear rubbing from the disc rotor after changing the belt tension, you may need to adjust the caliper.
- A misaligned belt is dangerous and can break! If your belt makes excessive noise, such as clicking, popping, or grinding, double-check the wheel alignment and adjust until the belt and wheel spin freely.
- The belt tension measurement is an average of four readings taken over the course of one full crank rotation.
